Description

Safe Haven Wildlife Sanctuary is an accredited wildlife sanctuary located in rural northern Nevada that provide permanent placement for abandoned and surrendered exotics and interim care for orphaned and injured native Nevada wildlife.
Candidates will be responsible for animal husbandry, educational presentations to the public, assisting with habitat building and participation in our annual fundraiser event.

Education and Pre-requisites

*Applicants must be at least 20 years of age
*Must provide own health insurance
*BS degree in Biology, Zoology or related field
*Minimum of 1-year experience in animal husbandry position
*Must have valid drivers license and own vehicle
*Must be able to lift 50 lbs and willing to work in inclement weather and some holidays
*Safe Haven is a non-smoking, substance-free facility.

Compensation and benefits

On-site housing is provided including all utilities, limited internet, phone, Direct TV and monthly stipend.
