Description

Safe Haven Wildlife Sanctuary is an accredited wildlife sanctuary providing lifelong care to surrendered and confiscated exotics and interim care to native Nevada wildlife. Candidate will be responsible for daily animal husbandry including diet preparation, enclosure cleaning, operant training, enrichment, presentations to the public and habitat building.
Position start date 2/15/18 but negotiable

Education and Pre-requisites

Must have a degree in Biology, Zoology or Animal Science with prior animal care experience.
Must be 21 years of age and hold a valid driver’s license.
Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and be willing to work in inclement weather.
Must provide own health insurance
Must be in good physical condition

Compensation and benefits

Position is unpaid. However, free onsite living is provided and a $200.00 per month stipend.
