Description

This internship includes animal care of over 40+ different species of mammals, birds and reptiles – ranging from hyenas, wolves, alligators to reindeer and horses. Animal care includes feeding, inspecting habitats, cleaning habitats, and maintaining habitats. Interns may also learn to give tours, animals shows, etc.
Applicants must be dedicated to all aspects of animal care. Applicants must be able to work well with others, as a team.
Facility has indoor and outdoor habitats year round. Applicants must be willing to work outside and inside. Applicants must be able to work weekends and holidays as assigned – internships run five days per week.
Immediate openings available. Applicants must be available to begin Fall/Winter internship by November 15th at the latest.

Education and Pre-requisites

Minimum of 1 year experience in animal care and bachelors degree preferred.

Compensation and benefits

Stipend available. Housing included.
Interns are considered for full time positions following internship completion.
