North Georgia Zoo and Farm is home to over 80 species and 400 animals. Our purpose is to Bring People and Animals together so that no life goes untouched. Our Mission is to CARE CONNECT CONSERVE ! We are a Christian based organization with a mission to Care – for people and animals To CONNECT people to animals and to CONSERVE- through action, educating and challenging others! We are nationally known for our animal encounters and have been featured on dirty jobs. Fall and Winter 3-6 month internships now with housing for full time internships! Part-time internships also available. 4 internship options available 1) Animal Care- Zoo keeping: Gain valuable experience in Zoo keeping. 2) Animal Education: Gain experience in presenting tours, animal ambassador program, assisting the public and more. 3) Marketing and Public Relations. Do you love animals and people? Train on connecting with the public, creative with ways to bring people and animals together and marketing. 4) Livestock Care internship. Are camels, water buffalo and livestock something you are passionate about? Learn more and be involved in helping in the livestock and farm area. Education and Pre-requisites

must have completed high school and have some work or collage experience.
Must have a good work ethic.
Must be able to represent the zoo well.
Must be willing to learn and grow.
Must have a clean background check.

Compensation and benefits

housing provided. Paid Apprenticeship opportunities may be available after internship
