North Georgia Zoo Commissary Keeper 20-25 hours housing is available.

Looking for a hard working, self motivated, reliable individual that is on board with our core values, mission and purpose statement. Must be a quick learner, Work well as team or alone. Strive to constantly grow and learn and be effective in the job and goals laid out.

Responsibilities include: Preparing the daily diets including cutting up the fruits, veggies and butchering as needed. Sorting and organizing incoming produce, food and supplies Weekly shopping trips to pick up the supplies for diet preparation, zoo etc. Responsible to keep prep area neat and organized. Zoo-keeping as needed along with diet preparation for all the animals. Assisting Keepers as needed

Education and Pre-requisites

Must have a basic understanding of food nutrition or willing to do research and learn.
Must be comfortable with a lot of cutting and chopping of food. (use a knife, cutter and food prep supplies well) Must be able to follow directions well. Must be able to work as a team and communicate with keepers their needs and diet changes etc. Must be self motivated, reliable, able to set goals and move quickly.
Opportunities for more hours, increased responsibility upon evaluation and ability is shown. Must be available in the mornings 5 days a week.
