Weisberg Stables is a private 20-acre facility located in Jupiter, Florida. We have a variety of farm and exotic animals and provide animal interaction opportunities for at risk youth, special needs children, children in foster care, the elderly and veterans.

Duties & Responsibilities
Care of various farm and exotic animals including: goats, chickens, pigs, tortoises, turkeys, rabbits, emus, wallaby, miniature horses, llamas and donkeys; cleaning stalls and animal enclosures; assisting with handling animals for use in sensory petting zoo; grooming, bathing and brushing; general first aid; worming; keeping detailed records of care and illnesses; supervising visitors; giving tours; assisting with special events and tours; collecting fertile and non-fertile eggs; preparing eggs for sale and incubation; distributing eggs to customers; incubating eggs; handling sales calls regarding eggs or farm animals for sale; sales and marketing of various farm and exotic animals for sale; performing various cleaning duties around the farm; sanitizing feed and water bowls; checking animals daily and reporting any noticeable health issues to management immediately, assisting vet, and scheduling routine and emergency vet appointments; maintaining safe and sanitary work space; assist with training of interns and volunteers; knowledge of safety protocols, safety concerns and reporting protocols; and daily preparations of animal diets.

Education and Pre-requisites

Fluent in written and spoken English.
Min. 3 years previous professional experience as an animal caretaker in a Zoo, Sanctuary, equine facility or exotic breeding facility.
